It’s easy to determine how long your film is. Typically a 3″ reel of 8mm film holds 50 feet and runs approximately 3 minutes. A 5″ reel holds 200 feet and about 12 minutes, and a 7″ reel hold 400 feet (about 24 minutes) of film. 16mm film runs at twice the speed of 8mm and Super-8, so a 400 foot reel of 16mm film would only run approximately 12 minutes, etc. Below is a chart to estimate the running time of a particular roll of film

If You have old 8mm and super 8 home movies laying your house Videolab Solutions can transfer to a email link, DVD, Blu-ray or onto an external hard drive as Digital copies. 8mm and Super film developed by Kodak during the Great Depression has been capturing precious moments since 1932. Kodak has since ceased the sale of 8mm film in the 90s. But there is thousands of feet of 8mm and 16mm home movies memory stored in people houses that needs to be converted from analog film to a modern format such as a Digital File.
